After the United Kingdom decided to leave the EU at 52% to 48% of votes in its referendum, leaders of France, Germany, the European Union
and other countries have responded. On Friday, French President François Hollande said that the British people’s choice has made Europe
facing challenges. Hollande called on the EU to carry out a “profound reform”. Hollande and the other European leaders hope Britain can
complete its negotiations on leaving from EU as soon as possible. U.S. President Barack Obama also said, “I believe that Britain will smoothly
leave the EU”. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, expects Britain and the European Union to continue to be firm partners.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) called for Britain and the EU to ensure a smooth transition of their economic relations.
