The U.S. and China Artists’ Works Exhibition Concludes Successfully
Los Angeles– The three-month exhibition of American and Chinese artists’ works came to a successful conclusion. More than 50 American and Chinese artists participated in this exhibition, with more than 200 exhibits including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy, and sculptures. Many mainstream media outlets in the United States and China conducted extensive and detailed reports, which attracted great interest and attention from all walks of life in the United States and China, and achieved very good results, allowing more people to understand the breadth and depth of U.S.-China art .
This exhibition is on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Trade Development Council. It is co-sponsored by the United States Trade Development Council and the Qi Baishi Art Institute of the United States. The exhibition was originally scheduled to be held from April 15 to June 15, 2021. At the request of art lovers, it was extended for four weeks and ended successfully on July 15th. The exhibition is also an important part of the celebrations for the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Trade Development Council. We warmly congratulate the US-China artists on the complete success of the exhibition.
The American Trade Development Council (ATDC) was established with the approval of the U.S. government. It is a non-governmental organization joined by many former U.S. government officials. It is committed to developing in-depth development with countries around the world in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education, environmental protection, and health. Exchange and cooperation to promote world economic development. The Qi Baishi Art Research Institute of the United States is an institution directly under the United States Trade Development Council. It was established in 2018 with the purpose of introducing the calligraphy and painting art of Chinese art master Qi Baishi to the United States, and will promote the integration and development of Chinese and Western paintings in the United States.
ATDC attaches great importance to cultural exchanges and promotes the integration of Eastern and Western cultures, which is also an important part of the business it is engaged in. The United States is a multicultural country that accommodates various cultural elements of the world. Holding an exhibition of American and Chinese artists’ works is of positive significance to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and the United States, promote the healthy development of Sino-US relations, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. The organizing committee specially invited painters, calligraphers and sculpture artists from the United States and China to participate in the exhibition.
This exhibition has received strong support and active participation from artists from the United States and China. The exhibited works have a high artistic level and appreciation value, bringing extraordinary artistic enjoyment to the majority of calligraphy and painting art lovers. At this event, we received congratulatory letters from many American dignitaries. Karen Bass, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives responsible for international affairs, wrote in the congratulatory letter: “Art can serve as a bridge between culture and language, and at the same time establish a bridge between the two peoples. Friendship provides opportunities, and I sincerely wish the success of this unforgettable event.”
The Chairman of the Asian Pacific American Party Group of the US House of Representatives, Rep. Dr. Meixin Zhao wrote in the congratulatory letter: “The U.S. Trade and Development Commission has always been committed to promoting a healthy global economy, providing a comprehensive service platform, providing resources and activities, and passing Technology, art and culture, education and medical field guidance serves the community. The U.S.-China artist exhibition is one such example. Artist profile:
Wang Weiliang,graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese calligraphy. President of the Chinese Medicine and Calligraphy Industry Branch of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, senior registered teacher of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and the fourth generation of Qi Baishi’s art. Calligraphy and painting educator, serving as the head teacher and assistant teacher of Qi Baishi’s advanced painting technique class at Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts.
Luo Wangshanhas served as the Chairman of the International Qi Baishi Art Research Center Council, the Vice President of the Qi Baishi Art Research Institute of the United States, and the Chairman of Hebei Qihuang Culture Communication Co., Ltd. Director of Luowangshan Art Museum, Director of Flower and Bird Painting Committee of Taihang Culture and Printing Society of Hebei Province, etc.
Zhou Ziyun, who became the disciple of Mr. Zhang Wencheng, who was born in 2018, studied and studied Qi Baishi’s art with great concentration. He is currently the first-level creator of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Calligraphy and Calligraphy Art Exchange Center, deputy secretary-general of Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce Calligraphy and Calligraphy Art Chamber of Commerce, member of Beijing Calligraphers Association, member of Beijing Gongbi Heavy Color Painting Association, and director of Beijing Dongcheng District Artists Association.
Zhang Qi,under the tutelage of famous painter Li Kuizheng, Professor Guo Yizong, Dean Jia Guangjian and other famous teachers, is currently a member of the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society, a member of the Beijing Gongbi Heavy Color Association, a member of the Beijing Artists Association, and an artist in Dongcheng District, Beijing. Director of the Association, Fu Dean of Beijing Wencheng Painting and Calligraphy Institute.
